I don`t wear any accessories other than a watch. The most convenient place to check the time is the wrist. Most of my watches cost less than $200, so I wouldn`t be upset if they broke or got lost.
First, why this watch suits me best:
- timekeeping accuracy—or maybe I just got lucky—but my watch loses only one second over three months
- simplicity, no date display, time adjustments needed no more than once a year, and no other intervention required
- a suitable size—neither too small nor too large; the case diameter is 42 mm
- it`s sapphire; there are no scratches, even though I tried to scratch it
- checking the time is very convenient, the screen shows only the hands, with nothing else to distract you
As for the downsides, the bracelet stretches—I’ve already had it shortened twice—but this is normal; the same thing happened with other watches I’ve owned that had metal bracelets.
I won’t argue about the beauty—after all, as the saying goes, there’s no accounting for taste..This model comes in four colors; I like the black one the best. The screen appears to have a uniform color, but in daylight, it creates a gradient-like shadow: it looks brighter towards the center than at the edges.
All my watches are waterproof, just like this model. I shower wearing them.
I have been wearing this watch for four months now: there are minor scratches on the bracelet, but the crystal is undamaged.
I’m not sure about the battery in this watch, but by all accounts, it lasts about seven years and isn’t replaceable.
Before that, I wore the Amazfit GTR 1 for three years, and then I bought the GTR 4. Before that, I wore an Amazfit GTR 1 for three years, and then I bought a GTR 4. I also wore two mechanical watches and one quartz watch, but most often I wore a smartwatch (which is, in essence, not so much an accessory as a gadget).
Now about other whaches hasnt fit me match
I didn’t consider digital watches with numerals instead of hands, as I prefer reading the time from an analog display.
- I need to see the second hand; in Always-On Display mode, the screen updates once a minute, so I have to press a button to check the seconds.
- needs to be updated via the app
- requires charging, maximum battery life without recharging is one week.
- silicon strap and plastic case, I’d wish the metall
- minor scratches on the crystal
- a fairly large size — over 45 mm
Disadvantages of mechanical watches:
- need to adjust the time—at best, once a week
- they must be worn constantly, otherwise, they will stop
- the second hand isn’t very useful, as there is always a discrepancy with world time
Disadvantages of other quartz watches:
- the timekeeping accuracy is a couple of seconds per month, but still lower than that of my Casio MTS
- unnecessary complications—a chronograph I almost never used. The additional sub-dials just make it harder to read the time
- The date requires manual adjustment roughly once every two months; however, one must remember not to change the date during the period around midnight.
- it wasn’t sapphire; scratches remained on the glass
- the battery life is only two years—though it could be longer, as I haven’t worn them for a long time
It’s not that I was obsessed with watches—I was simply looking for the perfect one, and I think I’ve found it.Mechanical watches may carry more prestige and be better suited for special occasions, but the Casio MTS-RS100 is perfect for my everyday wear.
I gave away all the other watches to friends and acquaintances.
